Four plates, one week
The lunch plate is available from Wednesday to Saturday; on Sunday we cook the full menu. What comes to the table depends on the catch and on the delivery from the Grosses Moos.
Wednesday
Boiled beef with horseradish sauce
CHF 24.50Beef from a farm between Murten and the Moos, left in the broth for three hours. Served with salted potatoes and gherkins from our own jars.
Thursday
Perch in beer batter
CHF 26.50The morning's catch from Lake Murten, filleted small and fried in rapeseed oil. Served with potato salad and chives.
Friday
Sliced veal with rösti
CHF 27.00Cream sauce with Chasselas from Mont Vully, thickened without flour. The rösti comes to the table in the cast-iron pan.
Saturday
Vegetable strudel from the Moos
CHF 22.50Leek, carrots and celeriac rolled in thin puff pastry. Served with herb quark; the filling changes with the delivery.
Sunday
Sunday pork roast
CHF 28.50Neck from the oven, with gravy and red cabbage with apple. On Sundays we also serve it as a half portion for children.

Plus a small dessert of the day, usually meringue or cream ice cream.
Reduced portion of the dish of the day without soup, for a short lunch break.
Half a portion of the dish of the day or pasta with tomato sauce, up to twelve years.
Ten lunch plates paid in advance, valid for one year, transferable.
Soup of the day, roast with side dishes and a glass of water, Sundays only.
All amounts are final prices including VAT and service. Differences arise only for groups of twelve or more, for special kitchen requests and for events outside opening hours.

Lunch service and closing days
Hot food is served at lunchtime until 13.45, after which only drinks and dessert. The house is closed during the last two weeks of July.
